As gas prices rise, more work from home

Rising gas prices are reviving employees' interest in telecommuting as a way to cut costs.

About 36 percent of telecommuting customer service agents say gas prices have driven their decision to work at home, according to a new survey of nearly 2,000 at-home call center agents by LiveOps, which contracts with call center agents.

Another study, by the Society for Human Resource Management, found that offering telecommuting options is among the top five approaches being used by companies to help employees deal with gas prices.

So many people are saving so much money by staying at home. I know I used to have to fill up 2.5 times per week, which is $100 a week. Interesting article to read for statistics.
